Life in LA IV

Why, you may ask, am I posting at nearly 3:00 AM in the morning?

Did I have a wonderfully raucous evening? No. Was my evening wonderful? Yes.
My day began with e-mails, cards, and phone calls from home about snow so thick it had to be shoveled and an afternoon spent here with the babe and the DH and the pooch picnicking in the blissful sun (she had a little tent that keeps babes remarkably cool) and the cool nearly summer evening was spent starting a BOURNE marathon. (I need to update the post about the contents of Jason Bourne's safety-deposit box in a Swiss bank here.)
Anyway, the reason I am awake, grrrrrr, is because I was woken out of a deep sleep by our entire townhouse shaking. Neighbors, upstairs, are you listening?
There was a lot of thumping, jumping, and shaking.
I determined that the surfers/musicians/slackers/alwayswakingmeatthreeampartiers upstairs were either:
1) bowling
2) took too many drugs and thought they could fly, only it was off the top of their kitchen counter and sofa
3) decided to be gymnasts and practice
4) had a mad game of tennis on Wii
5) we're having flashbacks to middle school "tumbling" class in PE.

Not sure but it's gotta be one of the above nothing else could explain the insane noise.
Unless you think I'm too grandma, let's not forget the time they and their partying 'friends' (or anyone left after 'last call') decided it would be really fun to stand outside our window at 3:30 AM on a weekday and flash a strobe light into our bedroom. Yeah, ever had that experience? It's a lot of fun. You can't see, literally, as your room flashes in strobe lights. Oh and then setting off explosions in a garbage can, not sure what brand of fireworks it was (and no it wasn't the 4th of July)... that was a fun evening.

I wouldn't care but I so value my (new mom) sleep. Seriously! It's 'THUMP! JUMP! THUD! TUMBLE AND ROLL!'

What the H are they doing!??

wait... lawn bowling indoors?
two-stepping?
I know... acting out THE WIZARD OF OZ
